This 10 week unit will give students the opportunity to create multi-media artworks inspired by Contemporary Indigenous paintings.
*** The student artworks displayed here diverged from my lesson plan. As I presented this sequence, instead of creating one artwork with younger students they created two that were fused together digitally in a photo app. The students created a pattern artwork that reflected Millner to them, and a separate Birdseye view map of Millner by tracing a Google maps image and painting it with watercolour. These two artworks were then layered in a photo app on the teacher’s phone with the students to create the final artworks. I had tried to arrange iPads for students to do this step independently, but access was unavailable.
