Day 1 was an interesting mix of making and learning. The AI with Jessie James sparked my curiosity more so than any other AI presentation has, the leonado AI suite seemed like a great tool to generate images and get on the same page as student. A clever alternative to thumbnails enrich the level of conversation we could have with students.
The simple plaster moulds workshop was a winner. Such a simple idea what can offered such a range of outcomes. the presentation was well considered and allowed for learning at the end end while the plaster set.
Unfortunately the first presentation subbed in by Shelly was pretty generic and seemed very last minute. Some interesting topics arose about the history of pandanus weaving.
