Artist: Kim Boardman
Mediums: Salvaged Ghost Gum branches
Dimension: 80cm x 40cm x 40cm
Artist Statement:
This work is made from salvaged ghost gum branches collected after Cyclone Fina, which brought down many of these iconic Northern Territory trees. Long celebrated in Territory art, the ghost gum is a powerful symbol of the landscape. By bringing these fallen branches into the frame and letting them extend beyond it, the work reflects on storm, memory and resilience.
