MAGNT Floor Talk and Meet & Greet with Arts Curriculum Specialists from ACARA and AEA

Wendy Garden from MAGNT will host a floor talk of the current NATSIAA and Between the Moon and Stars Exhibitions for Helen Champion and Marg Baguley – and AENT Members and friends on Wed 21 Aug at 3.30 pm MAGNT.
This will be followed by nibbles and drinks for AENT members at the Ski Club – to greet Helen Champion ACARA Arts Consultant https://www.linkedin.com/in/helen-champion-b958372b and Art Education Australia President Marg Baguley https://staffprofile.usq.edu.au/Profile/Margaret-Baguley who are visiting Darwin to run DoE workshops and to attend the Festival of Teaching.
If you would like a chance to meet and greet these two esteemed Arts Professionals – please come and join us on Wed 21 Aug at 3.30 pm MAGNT.
*** Please note this is the same afternoon artworks are due at Darwin Entertainment Centre for our ‘Artworks! PLAY exhibition’. Artwork drop-off from 3pm – 6pm.

The DoE Arts workshops on 22 and 23 Aug will cater for all five of The Arts subjects and will include:
• exploring the concepts that influence the development of a school-based Scope and Sequence document.
• ways of connecting The Arts learning activities to ensure alignment across content descriptions and achievement standards in the Australian Curriculum
• using classroom conversations, the ones that occur while students are making artworks, as a formative assessment
• adapting activities to cater to diverse student interests and learning needs.
